The Virtual Teaching and Research Office closely integrates education and teaching with innovation, technology, business, research, and societal needs. It has established platforms for industrial resource sharing, collaborative teaching research, and achievement cultivation. The office has proposed and put into practice a university-industry collaboration pathway that follows the chain of "resource development → curriculum design → project R&D → achievement commercialization → teaching research output → innovation demonstration." This approach has enabled effective resource sharing, seamless connectivity, and complementary strengths among all participants.

To date, the office has hosted over 200 events, with more than 300 universities across China deeply engaged and over 20,000 teacher participations recorded. It has generated a demonstrative "100 Universities, 100 Enterprises, 1,000 Courses, 10,000 Students" ripple effect. In 2024, it was recognized as a National Model Virtual Teaching and Research Office.
